So Bret and I have been looking for venues, but we have not found one! We really want to set the date but it is not that easy to find the perfect place because most places contract with a certain catering company. We've researched these caterers are they are not vegan. Also, we have a modest budget and these caterers are not as affordable. If they were vegan, that would be a different story! The quality of our food and where it comes from is VERY important to us!

We want an outdoor, green (environmentally-conscious) wedding with some delicious vegan food and cake! As far as the catering, we want to offer our lovely guests vegan options only. I know some people may not be open to this idea, but 1) it is our wedding and we are paying for it; 2) this is the way we eat and I wouldn't offer guests anything that we wouldn't put in our mouths; 3) this is a sustainable way of living, both environmentally and healthfully. We want to use our wedding as an occasion where we share our love, deepest values of living a healthy and sustainable lifestyle that is eco- and environmentally-conscious.

To reflect both of our cultures and religion, and our support of social justice we want the ceremony to be iofficiated by both a Rabbi and a Catholic Priest. It may not be easy to find this combimation -- it will take a little bit of searching, but we can find them! It would be awesome to have two females: a Rabbi and a Catholic Priest who who marries gay couples!

This is such an exciting time! I'll keep blogging about this wonderful journey with the man I love!

Love,

Bea
